Citizens of Kitchener-Waterloo have a long history of coming together as a community, working together to develop and incubate new ideas and new innovations. These innovations have transformed not only our own community here in the Waterloo region, but have also allowed us to share the benefits of our efforts, both across Canada and around the world.
The values of the Ontario Liberal Party - inclusion, fairness, and equity among them - are the same values of the Kitchener-Waterloo community. They are values that have played a key role in the success of these new ideas and new innovations, and are the values that have positively shaped our community for more than 150 years.
From the first grist mill of Abraham Erb to the Perimeter Institute that now stands proudly behind it, Kitchener-Waterloo has been at the forefront of a culture of ingenuity and resilience, a culture dedicated to improving the quality of life for an increasingly diverse population. And throughout this history, Liberals have played a key role.
Dedicated members of the Ontario Liberal Party have continued to help both families and businesses build a strong Ontario that can compete on a world stage. Kitchener-Waterloo Liberals have worked to improve our vital public services, foster and support a vibrant economy, and protect our natural environment.
As the President of the Kitchener-Waterloo Provincial Liberal Association, I invite you to take part in our efforts to contribute to the success of our community. We are sure that you will find your place as a member of our inclusive party, one that respects and honours diversity. We place a high value on public support for issues that are important to all Ontarians, such as healthcare, education, social services, the environment, and many more.
